One of my vintage treasures includes a cedar chest packed full with little dresses. My aunt made most of the frocks – and some of them were truly prairie style frocks. It seemed like she was always making something new in her sewing room including my first muʻumuʻu. It was cut from bright orange and white barkcloth. That same dress has now become my daughters first muʻumuʻu. When she outgrows it we will pack it away from the next generation to enjoy.
